If you're booking a holiday near Antalya Airport, two names keep coming up: Kundu and Lara. They sit right next to each other on the coast, both within easy reach of the terminal, but they offer very different holidays. We drive guests to both every day, so here's the honest, on-the-ground difference.
Where they sit
Kundu is the strip of giant themed resorts about 13 km from Antalya Airport, roughly an 18-minute drive. This is where you'll find the famous landmark hotels: Kremlin Palace with its Russian-fairytale facade, the ship-shaped Titanic, the pyramid-and-temple WOW complex, and Land of Legends right next door. Lara is the district just to the west, hugging a long sandy beach and sitting closer to Antalya's city centre. Both are airport-close, but Lara leans toward the city while Kundu leans toward the resort bubble.
Kundu: the all-inclusive bubble
Kundu is built for guests who want to arrive, check in, and not think about logistics again. The resorts are enormous and self-contained — pools, private beach sections, à la carte restaurants, evening shows, aquaparks and kids' clubs all inside the gates. The themed architecture is genuinely fun: families love that the hotels look like a film set. The trade-off is that Kundu is not a walkable town. There's little outside the resorts themselves, so you'll rely on transfers or hotel shuttles to go anywhere, including Land of Legends, the big theme park on the doorstep.
Lara: resort comfort with a city pulse
Lara gives you a similar standard of luxury beach hotels, but with more around you. The long Lara beach is a highlight, and Lower Düden Waterfall — where the river tumbles dramatically straight into the sea — is a short hop away. You're far closer to Antalya proper here, so an evening in the old town of Kaleiçi, the harbour, or the city's restaurants and shops is genuinely doable. Lara suits travellers who want the beach and the resort but also like the option of stepping outside the gates.
How to choose
Pick Kundu if you want a stay-put, themed, all-inclusive holiday where the hotel is the destination — ideal for families chasing aquaparks and Land of Legends. Pick Lara if you want luxury and beach but also value being close to the city, the waterfall and a bit more freedom to explore. Couples and repeat visitors often prefer Lara; first-time families with kids often love Kundu.
Getting there
Whichever you choose, the airport run is short — Kundu is about 13 km and 18 minutes from arrivals. We meet you inside the terminal with a name sign, track your flight so a delay never costs you the ride, and drive you straight to your hotel door in a clean Mercedes. The price is fixed and agreed when you book: no meter, no surge, no surprises at the end. Pay cash or card, child seats are free, and you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours ahead. We run 24/7, so it doesn't matter if you land at dawn or near midnight — your driver is there waiting.
